E-Safety is an important part of keeping pupils safe at The Observatory School . We have extensive security measures in place in school, which are monitored both internally and externally, to help safeguard pupils from potential dangers or unsuitable material. Any e-Safety incidents are recorded and managed in accordance with our e-Safety Policy. e-Safety is taught to all pupils explaining and demonstrating how to stay safe and behave appropriately online. All pupils at The Observatory School complete the BCS e-Safety Level 1 qualification in their Computing lessons.
The Observatory School proactively promotes e-safety and the prevention of cyberbullying. Bullying in any form has no place at The Observatory School. We have a dedicated e-Safety Manager (Miss Gower) who can advise all staff, pupils, parents and governors on e-safety issues.
The Observatory School work hard to promote staying safe online throughout the year. We hold annual eSafety events such as Safer Internet Day to highlight the potential dangers online. All of our pupils complete the BCS Level 1 eSafety qualification.
Please call 0151 652 7093 and request Miss Gower or Mr Marshall if you have any issues regarding this matter.
