End of Term Wall of Fame

Welcome to our end of term round up. Well it has been a long, hardworking and very enjoyable term. I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who has played a part. To parents and carers for their support in all we do; our staff and Governors for the hard work they put in and of course to our fabulous pupils who make coming to work such an enjoyable and satisfying thing to do.

Thank you to Mrs Dowd for organising our whole school learning day 'We Are All Different, We Are All the Same'. The day was a great success and as well as looking at other cultures and traditions explored what it means to be British. The day forms part of our amazing Erasmus project called CREACTION. Pupils who are going to France will be making a video all about being British and this day was a great source of inspiration for them.

Well done to our pupils who completed the Skills for Life course too. They have all achieved the objectives of the course and gained a certificate of completion which was awarded to them on a graduation ceremony last week.

Well done to all pupils who earned their places on our Top 10 trips. It is a great achievement and shows determination and perseverance to earn a place.

We also held a evening meal for the pupils and their parents who attended the Finland trip. It was a great turn out and a good opportunity to reminisce about the trip. Mrs Owens and Mr Howath our school governors also attended to congratulate the boys on such a successful trip. They prised them for their behaviour and how well they represented our school in another country.

Well done to our year 11 pupils who have been attending extra sessions in school to work on their GCSE revision. Some pupils have shown great commitment and determination by attending after school sessions and their reward sessions to complete extra work. Some pupils have arranged to attend school during the holidays to complete extra work! Well done to those involved.
