The Observatory School Remembers

To commemorate the centenary of Armistice Day, The Observatory School have had a week of activities and assemblies to mark the occasion.

To remember their sacrifice, the pupils have made poppies in their lessons as well as reading War Poetry in English.

On Friday we held a 1 minute silence in our weekly Celebration Assembly to reflect and to pay respects to service men and women who have served in the armed forces.

Miss Gower said "It’s very important that our pupils and other young people remember and reflect on what people gave in previous years. Our pupils have worked hard this week and have learned about the sacrifices that others have made so that they can live the life they live today."
