This weeks Wall of Fame looks very impressive and we are pleased to see so many amazing activities and lessons happening around the school.
It has been an exciting week in Science and pupils across the school have been dissecting hearts! The pupils have been eager to take part in the lessons and have taken a hands on approach to the topic! You can see on the wall some of our pupils taking part in the lessons. Some pupils have even taken up the opportunity to continue the activity into their reward sessions. The topic forms part of our Erasmus project. Thank you to Mr Wood and Mr Dickson for the time and preparation you have taken into making these lessons so interesting and successful.
We also have an update on Freddy the Frog (well soon to be). Pupils have been watching the development of a tadpole. Reports say Freddie is now growing arms. It has been exciting to see the development of Freddie and we can't wait to see him when he is fully grown.
Pupils have been earning badges throughout the week. Many have now earned their Blue Merit badge, showing that they have reached over 40 Star of the Day certificates. This is a great achievement and shows the dedication and determination of our pupils. Well done!
On Friday year 11 took their final GCSE Exam . We have been very impressed with their maturity during the exam period. They still have some ICT work to complete so we are lucky to still have them in school for an extra 2 weeks. We will announce the date of the Leavers Assembly shortly.
Pupils have been enjoying their Food Technology lessons this week. They have been making Banana Fritters. The photographs really do not do them justice, they smelt and tasted absolutely delicious! Thank you Mr Horner for teaching our pupils how to make them.
Plans are now well underway for Bidstock which is taking part on Friday 21st June. The bands have been booked and the food has been planned...and the sunshine even looks like it is going to make an appearance!
