Our Remembrance service is a very important part of our school year. Pupils have been learning about why we have remembrance this week and all have made poppies to display on our collaborative outdoor display.

At the heart of our events was the two minutes of silence at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month. The whole school gathered outside to join together to pay their respects. The last post was played and all pupils were respectful throughout the silence. Ruby in year 7 wore an army uniform and spoke to pupils about her foster father’s time in the army. Everyone was very interested and took the time to admire the medals she wore.

‘We will remember them.’
