On Tuesday the 9th November, we had a visit from a school liaison worker at Wirral Met College. He delivered a presentation to some of our year 10 and 11s about the courses on offer at Wirral Met. He explained about the various campuses, the options for apprenticeships and the value of getting your English and maths qualifications before you go to college. The range of courses on offer and the facilities available is extraordinary. They have a full mock-up of an aeroplane cabin, a campus entirely devoted to trades such as carpentry, plumbing and electrical work and one building has a penthouse art studio.
Everyone found it really interesting and the sense of excitement about going to college was strong! We are hoping to organise some visits to the college in the next few weeks.
If you have any questions, speak to Mrs Rye, and if I can’t answer them, I can put you in touch with a man who can!
