Today the School Council had a visit from Hettie who works for The Whitechapel Centre in Liverpool. The Whitechapel Centre is the leading homeless and housing charity for the Liverpool region. They work with people who are sleeping rough, living in hostels or struggling to manage their accommodation.
Hettie spoke to the council about why people may become homeless and different situations that could cause homelessness.
The council were very respectful and asked lots of questions. They all decided they would like to raise some money for Whitechapel. Their task this week is to come up with different fundraising ideas.
