GCSE results 12.08.2021

In 2021 The Observatory School celebrated an outstanding year of GCSE and equivalent results.  Building on previous successes, the cohort saw substantial gains in all measures of progress and attainment.

The highlights are:

25% of pupils achieved a grade 4 and above in Maths

25% of pupils achieved a grade 3 and above in Maths

19% of pupils achieved a grade 4 and above in English

44% of pupils achieved a grade 3 and above in English

19% of pupils achieved a grade 4 and above in Science

31% of pupils achieved a grade 3 and above in Science

38% of pupils achieved a grade 4 and above in Art

45% of pupils achieved a grade 3 and above in Art

13% of pupils achieved 5 GCSE’s and equivalent across their subjects in including English and Maths GCSE.

27% of all grades entered were grade 4 and above.

Deputy Headteacher Miss Gower said “Our Year 11 pupils have shown a great strength of character. They can take much pride in their amazing achievements against the odds. Our parents/carers, team of staff and school governors can also be incredibly proud. It was important to celebrate with the pupils today as they have demonstrated such great resilience and determination.  The pupils have gone through a difficult and challenging year and their hard work has paid off.”
