Welcome to a busy update, we have had a lot happening around school since I last posted.

Firstly, I must confirm that teaching members of the National Education Union at The Observatory School do plan to strike on Wednesday 5th July and Friday 7th July, 2023. This is not an easy decision for our team and I know they do so with a heavy heart. Having revisited our risk assessments, I am affraid that we will be closing to pupils on both those days. 

Transition Day was originally planned for Wednesday 5th July, 2023 – this has now been rescheduled to Thursday 6th July, 2023 across Wirral. On Transition Day pupils will move up to their new classes with their new teachers. We will also welcome our new pupils from their school’s.

We have been busy planning for next year, we have lots of changes happening and we are all looking forward to opening our new primary provision. 

I have included the last 2 weeks Wall of Fame presentations for you to see the wonderful learning happening around the school. I always enjoy seeing how well the pupils are progressing and especially learning outside of the classroom. A big WELL DONE to all pupils who have earned their places on the wall. Every Friday we have a whole school assembly on Zoom to celebrate our pupils achievements.
