Summer Update 17/07/2023

Welcome to our weekly school update! We hope this update finds you all in good health and spirits. With the Summer term nearly at a close, we are excited to share the latest news and events happening in our school.

It has been a busy couple of weeks with lots of reward trips happening across all school years. This goes to show how well pupils are doing in their subjects and the progress they have made throughout the year. I had the pleasure of attending two of those visits. My first was to Go-Karting in Liverpool with our year 11 leavers. It was a wonderful trip and a good way to thank the year 11’s for their dedication and commitment throughout their time at the school.

My second was a wonderful visit to London with the top reader. The trip was very well planned by Ms Q and she made sure we all got there safely. We went via train and then we went on the Tube. That was an experience in itself, our pupils followed all of the rules and we had a safe experience. The main event was seeing a play called ‘Wicked’. It was all such a wonderful experience and I was so proud of the pupils whom attended it.

On Friday we held our Summer Fair. It was a tremendous success, with an estimated attendance of over 20 families. The fair was held in the school’s hall, and featured a variety of activities for attendees of all ages like frisbee throwing, guess the name of the bear and guess how many sweets are in the jar. Parents, carers and community members also had the opportunity to browse a range of stalls featuring homemade crafts, baked goods, and refreshments. Thank to each and everyone of you who donated and helped out in any kind of way.

We break up for Summer on Thursday 20th July, 2023 at 1.00pm.
