Weekly Update 10/06/2022

The end of term celebrations and awards are fast approaching with less than six weeks to go until the end of term (time that will surely fly by with so much to look forward to in the coming weeks).

It has been a busy week for our year 11 pupils who have been sitting their GCSE exams. They have worked very hard over the last month revising and preparing themselves for the tests. We are all very proud of their commitment towards their exams and the maturity they have shown towards each subject.

Our STEM team have had a fantastic week. Earlier in the week they were working hard in preparing for a national competition. They took part in First Tech Challenge on Saturday in Widnes and we are pleased to announce that they won! It is an enormous achievement and something for all involved to feel very proud about.

Each week a small group visit a bike workshop with Mr Dickson. The group have been working on building bikes from parts. It has been exciting to see the photographs from the workshops and you can see them on this weeks Wall of Fame link.

Last week we also held our Top 10 trips. Each phase group had a great time on their reward. Mrs Baird reports that all pupils were very well behaved and had a fabulous time.

A huge well done to Shaye who has earned our first Million Word Reader badge. Shaye in year 9 was the first pupil to read 1 million words as part of our new Accelerated Reader scheme.
