Weekly Update 24/04/2023

Welcome back, I hope you had a great break with your family and friends. There has been lots of excitement in school this week as we launched our Summer Term Curriculum and activities. Summer is my favourite term of the year as we get the opportunity to take learning outside of the classroom more and enjoy our school grounds. We also have events to look forward to this term such as our Coronation Day and Summer Fair!

Summer Term Values

Each term we focus on two values. Pupils gain points in their lessons when they demonstrate the value. This term we are focusing on:

Responsibility- means the obligation to behave well, having a duty to fulfil. In school this may be shown as: making good decisions about our own behaviour, taking responsibility for our learning, being independent….this can also link to the environment etc..

Compassion– is all about putting yourself in someone else’s shoes, especially when they are having a hard time. It’s about trying to understand how they are feeling and then being pro-active in wanting to help.

The Kings Coronation

We are all very excited to be celebrating the Kings Coronation on the 4th May, 2023. We will be holding an afternoon tea with activities linked to the Coronation.

Thank you to all of the parents and carers who attended our first Parent Group of 2023. We were so please to meet you all and we are looking forward to our next catch-up soon. If you are interested in joining the parent group, please get in touch with one of a pastoral team members.
