I hope that you have all enjoyed the half term and the May Bank Holiday weekend. It’s natural that this is a lot of people’s favourite term, with everything being a bit brighter and warmer, and an increasing number of things to look forward to

One of those things we are all looking forward to  is the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The official date is Friday 3rd June, 2022 which is during the Summer Half Term break. We are having our celebration in school on 27th May, 2022. Our school council have been busy planning the day which includes a traditional sports day and an afternoon tea.

On Friday we held our Summer Term Even Day. The focus of this day was Anti-Bullying. We held a series of workshops  and activities all focused around how we can stop incidents of bullying in school. The pupils have filmed sections for a whole video which the school council will edit soon and present on the school website.

Our Spring Term Top 10 trips were also held this week. Pupils from all phases enjoyed a trip to Loggerheads. The staff who attended the trips with them reported that all pupils on the trips were well mannered and behaved very well.

Pupils in year 11 have been busy in art completing their final pieces for their GCSE Art qualification. The work they have produced so far is absolutely fantastic and Miss Gower has been very pleased with their commitment and determination in completing their work.

We will be presenting our Wall of Fame on Friday, due to the shorter week next week.
