Weekly update 30/09/2022

Welcome to this weeks update. The temperature has changed with a chilly autumnal feel in the air, we were all very pleased this week that the heating was put on around school!

Our Uniform Station has been very busy this term so far. We continue to welcome donations of used uniform, that is still in good condition. It can be handed in at reception or given to a child’s form tutor. If there are any families that would like to use the Uniform Station, please get in contact with us.

Parent Governor We currently have a Parent Governor vacancy on The Observatory School Governing Body. If you are interested about finding out more about this please email me on sgower@theobservatoryschool.wirral.sch.uk or you can message me directly on ClassDojo.

Well done to Banksy who have been working very hard on their new curriculum, which involves learning outside of the classroom. It has been lovely to see their posts on the Wall of Fame.

It was great to have our first School Council meeting of the term and to introduce our new members. As always our pupils showed great maturity and respect during the meeting. They gave their views on our new rules, ‘be safe, ready and respectful’ all agreed they were working really well. One member said ‘they are really easy to understand and remember.’

Well done to all pupils who earned hot chocolate with Mr Chiswell! Pupils who earn this have demonstrated going over and above throughout the week.
