Weekly Update

Welcome to our weekly update. We have had a busy week this week and our pupils have had some exciting news to share.

Connor in year 10 plays Rugby during his recreational time. This week he shared he has been picked to join Cheshire U15. We are all very proud of him and his astonishing achievement. Well done Connor.

We are also pleased to announce that Louis' story has been published in The Wirral Globe. Louis is a very talented young man who taught himself how to play the piano using YouTube videos, "Now a settled pupil at the Observatory School in Bidston, Louis wows his classmates and others with his undoubted talent, as our video clearly shows." In school, it has also been an impressive week. In Science, pupils have been dissecting pigs hearts. Most pupils have relished the lessons, for some, it was a little bit too squeamish! Well done to everyone who took part and to those that observed. Mr Dickso has been very impressed with his pupils this week.

There has been something fishy going on in art this week. Pupils in year 8 have been working on their underwater project, developing drawings and models of fish. Miss Gower has been very impressed with the pupil's skills and enthusiasm during her lessons.

Well done to Ruby in year 7 this week. Ruby had her first game of Yahtzee and amazingly rolled a Yahtzee! According to Google, the probability of rolling 5 of the same number are 1296:1 (0.08%)

On Friday we held a behaviour raffle. Pupils earned tickets for each positive choice or action they made. At the end of the day, there were over 500 tickets earned! That is 500 good choices which were made on Friday. Well done to Elliot who won the draw. Pupils will get another chance to win next week, let's keep making good choices. Well done everyone.
