Her Majesty The Queen will become the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, with 70 years of service. To observe this occasion, there will be four days of national celebration commencing on Thursday 2 June through to Sunday 5 June 2022, giving people an opportunity to celebrate this historic milestone with their family, friends and communities. There will be a number of official public events, national moments of reflection as well as community activities.

In school we are having our celebration on Friday 27th June, 2022. We have a whole day of activities planned.  We are very excited to have a local artist called Alex Thompson join us too. She has recently painted a large mural of the Queen in Moreton and we are so excited to see what our pupils create with her.

We are also holding a large Afternoon Tea with a series of refreshments being available at lunch time. For our entertainment we are very lucky to have a Saxaphone player join us!

In the afternoon we are having a whole school sports event, inspired by sports from 70 years ago. 

Pupils and staff can wear sports clothes in either red, white or blue – or even a mixture of all 3!
