Weekly Update 13/01/2023

The spring term will be very busy for all of the year groups with much to get through in terms of the curriculum as well as many extra-curricular activities and events.

For our year 11 pupils we are now on the final run up to their important summer BTEC, Functional Skills and GCSE qualifications. This is their last full term before the exams start, therefore 100% attendance is a necessity. For all pupils, a positive attitude to learning is the key to success and alongside this, excellent attendance is very important; remember ‘every lesson counts’!

This term we have introduced our new assessment and recording system. The whole school now works with a program called BSquared. This enables pupils to progress on a constant framework across the school. Pupils are beginning to learn about their ‘steps’ and how they can make progress in each of their subjects. We will be holding a parent workshop soon, to enable parents and carers to fully understand the new system.

We would like to say thank you to the Neo Community for providing us with food supplies to share with our families. We still have quite a few items left, so please get in touch if you would like some more of the supplies.
